Degas: A Passion for Perfection in the Denver Art Museum
Feb. 11 – May 20, 2018
In its only U.S. look, Degas: A Passion for Perfection brings French artist Edgar Degas’ works from 1855 to 1906 into Denver. The exhibit includes over 100 pieces, including drawings, paintings, pastels, etchings, monotypes and sculptures, covering his pursuits in horses, nudes and dancers. Function by Paul Cézanne and artists Eugène Delacroix are also included in the exhibition.
Adios Utopia: Dreams and Deceptions at Cuban Art Since 1950 in Walker Art Center in Minneapolis

What’s being charged as the most significant exhibition of Cuban art in the U.S. in over 70 decades, the Walker Art Center has compiled work from over 50 artists and designers who trained and lived in Cuba by its tumultuous history since the revolution. The 100-plus works include paintings, graphic design, photography, videos, installations and performances which tackle rsquo & the revolution;s impact on art, address, industry and exile.

Drumsticks used by Ringo Starr at a 1964 Cleveland concert and George Harrison & rsquo; s match from a 1966 tour are included by Fab Four artifacts.

Known for her photographs of Pacific Northwest punk garage bands, Jini rsquo & Dellaccio;s dull portraits are used on numerous covers. She frequently photographed her subjects in and around her Gig Harbor home, where place is taken by this display. Dellaccio, who passed away in the age of 97, photographed acts such as the Wailers, the Sonics, the Who and Neil Young.

More than an exhibition, Graceland has opened a new, $45 million entertainment complex — the largest expansion. An automobile museum features Elvis’s Mercedes Benz limousine, Ferrari Dino and pink Cadillac. The museum covers the King’so movies, music, and touring life throughout feet, with countless artifacts, including records and jumpsuits.

Rarely seen works of art by Georgia O, Georges Braque, Juan Gris, Pablo Picasso, Paul Cézanne & rsquo; Keeffe and Milton Avery will be shown in Princeton, Due to the Selection of artist Marjorie Acker Phillips and Duncan Phillips.
The exhibit includes 38 paintings by the modern art masters in a bid to showcase their attempts to break away from traditional styles in favor of still lifes and subjects in the world of the late 19th and early 20th centuries.

A botanical garden in Sarasota will research a less-examined facet of Andy Warhol’s art: nature. Over 10,000 images of flowers, the pop artist generated actually throughout his career. On screen: two poinsettias prints and four mixed-media blossom silkscreens hibiscuses, which increase across the 15-acre gardens are represented by that. Selby horticulturists have created plant and flower displays to complement rsquo & Warhol;s function. This is the only venue for this display.
Louis Comfort Tiffany: Treasures in the Driehaus Collection at the Taft Museum of Art in Cincinnati

Cincinnati gets the honor of showing a collection of 60 Louis Comfort Tiffany masterworks that have never been seen out of Chicago until it goes on nationwide excursion. The antiques, lamps, windows, furniture and ornamental works span 30 decades of Tiffany’s livelihood. The Richard H. Driehaus Museum created the exhibition from its 1,500 items, collected by founder philanthropist Richard Driehaus. “Beyond researching Tiffany’s immense legacy as an artist and programmer, this exhibition may be viewed as a lively introduction to and celebration of American decorative arts,” stated Lynne D. Ambrosini, Deputy Director, Curatorial Affairs, and Chief Curator at the Taft Museum of Art.
